A grudge match has been added to WWE’s next pay-per-view lineup, with The Miz vs. Edge formally put together during last night’s episode of Raw.

WWE Day 1 takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on 1 January 2022. Appearing in a Miz TV segment last night, Edge said that if Miz was challenging him for the pay-per-view, he was happy to accept, having claimed that his rival acted like he was too big to accept advice when he tried to help him after being kicked out of the locker room years ago.

Edge returned to WWE television for the first time since October last week, doing so in a pre-advertised segment. He was accosted by fellow returnees The Miz and Maryse, resulting in a heated promo battle between the two parties that referenced John Morrison’s release and more. That brought them to last night’s segment - and now we have the pay-per-view match.
