Trish Stratus turned heel on last night's WWE Raw, attacking partner Becky Lynch seconds after the duo had dropped Lynch and Lita's Women's Tag Team Championships to Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

This on-the-night storyline started playing out early on in the broadcast. Lita and Lynch were scheduled to defend their gold against Morgan and Rodriguez, though Lita was found beaten-up backstage, rendered unable to compete after getting jumped. Trish stepped up on her behalf, acting as a proxy.

Stratus and Lynch then wrestled Morgan and Rodriguez with the championships on the line. Liv and Raquel took the gold when Morgan rolled Stratus up, scoring the pinfall after dodging the Chick Kick.

Lynch and Stratus, though disappointed, talked it out after the bell. As Becky was going to leave, however, Trish clocked her from behind, laying Lynch out to close the segment.

Lita and Lynch reigned as Women's Tag Team Champions for 42 days, having defeated Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the belts on 27 February. The tandem then teamed with Stratus in a six-woman tag team match against SKY, Kai, and Bayley at WrestleMania 39.
