Following his appearance on WWE SmackDown this past Friday, it appears Jelly Roll may be set for a major role at WrestleMania 42 next month.

Per BodySlam.net, Jelly Roll has been discussed to be a part of a tag team match at this year's Showcase of the Immortals. Not just that, but Royce Keys has been in the conversation as being Jelly's tag team partner, with the idea being that the two would be teaming together due to their past hardships.

There's no word on who Jelly and Royce would be facing should this match indeed come to fruition, though one has to imagine the Miz would be a prime candidate for a spot opposite them, particularly with the award-winning musician punching the A-Lister on SmackDown. Likewise, Kit Wilson seems like another logical name to be in the frame, with Kit another whom Jelly Roll interacted with on Friday, plus it's already been announced that Wilson will be calling Jelly out on this week's Smackers. Again, though, that's just pure speculation from your writer on potential 'Mania opponents for that Jelly Roll and Royce Keys tandem.

As for those past hardships, Jelly Roll has battled addiction and spent time in prison. For Royce Keys, the former Powerhouse Hobbs has been open about his own struggles in his younger years, including the death of his brother, as most recently discussed on Stephanie McMahon's What's Your Story? podcast.

Having debuted in the men's Royal Rumble earlier this year, Royce Keys has yet to appear on main WWE programming. However, he has worked several dark matches, including wins over Nathan Frazer, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Rey Fenix.
