Major Missing Star Returns On AEW Dynamite

One of AEW's injured stars mounted their comeback on last night's Dynamite.

Christian Cage

Christian Cage is back on AEW television, attacking rival 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry in his first appearance in several months last night.

The ambush came after Perry had beaten Brian Cage. Christian's music hit as 'Jungle Boy' was making his way up the ramp, leaving the arena. He still had his right arm held in a sling after several months away from the action, though he pulled it off, seemingly revealing himself fully healed as he laid Perry out.

Jack ate a Killswitch on the ramp after getting mace sprayed in his face. Christian claimed he wasn't done with 'Jungle Boy' afterwards, though AEW stopped short of announcing a match between the two for Revolution (5 March).

Cage, who has been out of action with a torn triceps, hasn't wrestled since squashing Perry at All Out 2022 (4 September). That match was deliberately kept short due to Christian's injury. Cage nonetheless remained on television as Luchasaurus' manager in an extended Perry rivalry, though this culminated in a Full Gear 2022 (19 November) cage match. This was also the last AEW viewers saw of Luchasaurus.

Signed to AEW since March 2021, Christian had been affiliated with Luchasaurus and Perry in a mentor's role from June onwards, eventually turning last year.
