Major Name Joins AEW Creative

This acclaimed wrestling mind will be helping out on AEW creative very, very soon.

Bryan Danielson Colt Cabana
AEW

Bryan Danielson is set to start contributing to AEW creative for the Collision brand's upcoming launch, reports Fightful Select.

Sources close to the matter have indicated as much. Danielson will be helping out on the Saturday night brand, which has a confirmed launch date of 17 June. AEW is yet to confirm the first show's location, though company founder and CEO Tony Khan has promised to announced this on next Wednesday's Dynamite.

Fightful notes Danielson's previous work on WWE creative, which drew the 'American Dragon' plaudits from those he worked alongside, particularly for his demeanour.

AEW's full-time creative team currently comprises of Khan, Will Washington, Sonjay Dutt, and QT Marshall, with the latter duo heavy contributors. Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko, and Christopher Daniels all have roles as well, while many of AEW's top stars are granted a say on their own storylines.

Danielson last wrestled for AEW at Revolution 2023 (5 March), though he will return to the ring for the Blackpool Combat Club's Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2023 on 28 May. Post-Revolution, he told the Unconsciously Coupled podcast that he was "in a ton of pain", unable to raise his left arm past a certain level, and dealing with a leg issue.
