Major Update On Next AEW Battle Of The Belts Show

Big change confirmed for AEW Battle Of The Belts IV.

All Elite Wrestling's next Battle Of The Belts show is no longer set to go head to head with WWE Extreme Rules 2022.

Per TNT's programming listings for next week (h/t PWInsider), AEW Battle Of The Belts IV will air at 11 PM EST on Friday 7 October. This means the show will broadcast immediately after that evening's episode of Rampage.

Battle Of The Belts typically airs on a Saturday evening. Had that been the case this time around, the show would likely have clashed with WWE's next premium live event, which is set for 8 October.

AEW has its Rampage and Battle Of The Belts IV booked for an 8 PM ET start in Washington, DC's Entertainment & Sports Arena on 7 October. This will be the promotion's second show in the building that week, with the 5 October Dynamite also taking place there.

AEW's first three Battle Of The Belts events aired to varying levels of critical acclaim earlier this year. The last event, BOTB III, aired on 5 August and was headlined by a well-received ROH World Championship match between Claudio Castagnoli and Konosuke Takeshita. The promotion had yet to announce anything for BOTB IV at the time of writing.
