This NXT favourite's recent absence has been due to a knee injury.

While recent weeks have seen rumblings that Gigi Dolin had been pulled from NXT programming for unknown reasons, it's now unfortunately been revealed that the former Toxic Attraction star is dealing with an injury.

As per Fightful Select, Dolin is dealing with a "serious" knee injury, with her recently spotted wearing a knee brace.

For those who've been keeping up with the NXT product, this injury is why the Gigi Dolin/Arianna Grace storyline has been totally dropped. In fact, Fightful notes that part of the reason for the pre-recorded skits between Dolin and Grace was to keep Gigi on TV while she was injured.

Interestingly, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that there had long been discussions of moving Gigi Dolin to the main roster, with several Main Event appearances giving Dolin the chance to impress WWE officials. Of course, back in 2022, Gigi and then-tag team partner Jacy Jayne also made a couple of appearances on SmackDown.

From all of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling, best wishes to Gigi Dolin on her injury and road to recovery.
