Mike and Maria Kanellis had wrestling media talking by reportedly asking for their WWE releases back in January, with Pro Wrestling Sheet reporting that the duo were upset with the way they'd been presented and promoted since signing with the promotion back in June 2017.

The Kanellises weren't let go and have since continued their role as bit-part players on 205 Live. Now, finally, it looks like Maria and Mike might be on their way out.

Maria tweeted the following last night:-

The 37-year-old left this teasing tweet hanging for a few hours before following up with this:-

As such, it's hard to know how to take Maria's tweets, and no sources have dug into the matter of what's actually going on with the Kanellises and their WWE future.

Mike hasn't fared well since the duo asked to be let go in January. His TV appearances have increased in regularity, but he has won just a single bout, defeating Akira Tozawa on the 19 March episode of 205 Live. Granted, his win/loss record wasn't exactly flattering before then, but the poor guy isn't even competing on house shows at the moment.
