Mark Henry: "Jim Johnston Should Be In The WWE Hall Of Fame"
2018 WWE Hall Of Famer says celebrated music man NEEDS to be inducted ASAP.
2018 WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Mark Henry has made an impassioned plea to get celebrated music man Jim Johnston inducted as soon as possible. Speaking via Nailz Knows, Henry pointed out just how important Johnston has been to the legacy of so many workers across decades of WWE business.
To Mark, it's vitally important that Jim doesn't go into the HOF as part of some celebrity wing. Nah, the former World Champion reckons Johnston should be inducted like he was one of the wrestlers. That's how much respect Henry has for everything the musician accomplished during his generational spell in charge of crafting entrance themes for the men and women gracing WWE's roster.
Johnston left the company in 2017 after decades of hard work, but he hasn't been honoured yet. Mr. 'Hall Of Pain' thinks it's about time that changed - he wants to see his old peer go into the Hall Of Fame soon.
Whilst gushing about all of the great music Jim crafted over the years, Mark added: "He did something for pro wrestling that a lot of wrestlers haven’t been able to do". That's high praise indeed, but few would dispute it. Johnston's soundtracks added significant weight to countless gimmicks/acts during his tenure, and the tepid response to most WWE music since his departure only further spotlights his importance to the cause.
He understood the assignment when it came to creating music that felt individual/bespoke/unique. The fact Henry is so passionate about Jim being inducted as 'one of us' shows how much love those who worked with him have for the guy.
Could 2026 be the year? WWE is running out of time to make that announcement if it is.
