Mark Henry Leaving WWE Soon?
Tensions over how he was treated by Vince McMahon during his injury spell are blocking contract renewal talks.
Mark Henry may be on his way out of the WWE, according to Pro Wrestling Torch. His contract with the company expires later this year and there are reports that Henry is frustrated with how the WWE and Vince McMahon treated him during his injury spell. 'The World's Strongest Man' pulled his groin during a Raw match against John Cena on December 12th, 2011. Henry knew it was a serious injury and that it needed time to heal and medical tests backed him up but Vince McMahon wanted him to work through the pain on a lighter schedule. Henry dropped his World Heavyweight Title to Big Show at the following Sunday's TLC pay-per-view where he worked very little in the main event but instead of him being rested, Vince McMahon pushed for him to continue competing and making dates. McMahon wasn't sympathetic at all to Henry's injury even though higher ups in the WWE were constantly telling him that Henry needed time to heal. Eventually Henry's pain got worse and worse and he was eventually pulled him competing. There are said to be tensions on the side of Henry over the way he was treated by McMahon and this has led him to snub all talk of a renewal of his contract. Henry, who had one of the biggest and longest contracts of any WWE superstar from the mid 90's, has certainly made enough money in his time with the company to quit and not worry about working for along time. The Torch says his refusal to talk over a new deal is the reason why he has lost a series of matches on television lately and why his push has been diminshed from the main event scene upon his return.
