Having teased an in-ring return for the past year or so, Mark Henry has now singled out WALTER as somebody he wants to come out of retirement to face.

Speaking to BT Sport, the World’s Strongest Man highlighted WALTER as “the cream of the crop” and a future World Champion.

On wanting to face the current NXT UK Champion, Henry proclaimed:

“I want to have one more match before I completely say I will never wrestle again, and WALTER is one of those guys that may need to be put in the Hall of Pain to be tempered by the fire that could make him a champion."

Seemingly, such a match-up comes down to whether or not WALTER wants it, with Henry adding:

“I think that would be a good fantasy warfare match. If it happens, it would be because WALTER called me out, because he’s an active, current talent. It’s not up to me. I still have my wrestling boots.”

Mark Henry formally retired in the aftermath of WrestleMania 33 and would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018. Despite that retirement, the former World Heavyweight Champion would make a one-off return in the Greatest Royal Rumble weeks after his HOF induction.

Since then, the powerhouse has worked in a backstage mentoring role for WWE and has made sporadic on-screen appearances, such as this January’s Raw Legends Night. Away from WWE, Henry can be found co-hosting Busted Open Radio alongside Dave LaGreca.
