Following last night’s WWE Raw, it appears that Rey Mysterio and Andrade are on a collision course for SummerSlam – and the two could potentially square off in a Mask vs. Hair contest.

As part of the Gauntlet Match for a shot at AJ Styles’ United States Championship at SummerSlam, Andrade and Rey did battle. After defeating Mysterio with his patented Hammerlock DDT, Andrade assaulted the multiple-time World Champion and ripped Rey’s iconic mask apart.

For eagle-eyed viewers, we were given the briefest of glimpses of Mysterio’s face as the legendary luchador frantically tried to cover himself up. Ricochet would break up Andrade’s attack before then besting the former “Cien” Almas to earn a shot at Styles’ US Title.

In a post-Raw video, Rey Rey made it clear that he wants payback on Andrade, and Andrade himself seemed to further push the mask narrative by taking to Twitter to brag about becoming “the new face of Latinos”.

SummerSlam takes place on August 11th from Toronto, Canada’s Scotiabank Arena, and right now both Rey Mysterio and Andrade are without an official match.

The two meeting at the WWE’s annual summer extravaganza seems like a given, and it may well indeed end up that this match-up has a Mask vs. Hair stipulation added to it.

For those wondering, the last time WWE did such a match was back at Extreme Rules in 2010 – Mysterio that time defeating CM Punk and shaving the head of the Straight-Edge Superstar.
