Matt Morgan To Return To WWE?

Matt Morgan could soon make a return to the WWE now that his contracted dates with TNA have reportedly expired. F4WOnline.com says that Morgan's contract with TNA is actually due to expire in October but speculation is that he has become a free agent now that TNA have used up all of his dates. Morgan recently said in an interview that he is loyal to TNA for resurrecting his career when he was released from the WWE but with the WWE expressing interest in bringing Morgan back to the company, he may find it difficult to turn down the offer. 36-year-old Morgan was a contestant on WWE's Tough Enough II a decade ago but after impressing, had to leave the show early due to an injury. He was signed to a development deal at the then WWF in August 2002 and was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling where he wrestled under the name "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan. He was signed up to the SmackDown brand in October 2003 and was part of Team Lesnar (Morgan, Nathan Jones, Brock Lesnar, Big Show & A-Train) that faced Team Angle at 2003's Survivor Series but was probably brought up too early to television and was sent back to OVW six months later. After a year in developmental where he won the OVW Title, Morgan returned to the SmackDown brand on April 21st, 2005 with a newly repackaged gimmick of a stuttering big-man who was defensive over a speech disorder. He became a bodyguard of sorts to Carlito and WWE were thinking of pushing him as a new version of Brock Lesnar (he even started using Lesnar's finisher, the F-5) but WWE decided he couldn't work and was released in July 2005. After touring in Europe and Japan, Morgan returned to America in 2007 and joined TNA in August 2007. He had a much more successful run in that company where he won the TNA World Tag Team Title three times (with Hernandez and Crimson) and has become a much better wrestler than he was in the WWE. As for what the WWE could do with him now? We would suggest WWE would be well-suited to giving Paul Heyman a new stable of wrestlers alongside Lesnar, giving them the rub off of such a big star and elevating them straight to a top level.
