Just over a year ago, it was revealed by Ric Flair that Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks production company and WWE were teaming up to develop a movie based on the incredible life of the Nature Boy. And if Sebastian Stan gets his way, he’ll be the one stepping up to play Naitch.

Speaking to Collider to promote his latest film Monday, Stan – a lifelong pro wrestling fan – confirmed that he wants himself and Cobra Kai’s Paul Walter Hauser to play Ric Flair and Arn Anderson on the silver screen.

As the MCU favourite enthused:

“We’ve got to do that Ric Flair and [Arn] Anderson biopic. You have to have interviewed [Hauser] at some point, right? He’s so funny. I mean, he’s such a big wrestling fan, you know, and I was a big wrestling fan, too, growing up. Like, I love WWF and stuff. And we both have a kip-up. So, maybe Ric Flair. I’ll do it in a second if they let me.”

If Sebastian Stan should somehow end up playing the legendary Ric Flair, he wouldn’t be the first MCU actor to portray one of the wrestling world’s biggest names. At present, Thor star Chris Hemsworth is getting himself bulked up to play Hulk Hogan in the Hulkster biopic that Netflix is developing.
