MIA AEW Star's Return FINALLY Teased On Being The Elite (AEW News)

The Young Bucks skipped a call from someone AEW fans haven't seen in a while.

It looks like AEW fans could be seeing one Jack Perry sooner rather than later.

The latest 'Being The Elite' episode showed The Young Bucks drowning their sorrows in a sea of pizza boxes and Pepsi bottles after losing the 'Lights Out Steel Cage' 5v5 at Forbidden Door on Sunday night. Matt and Nick Jackson were shown re-watching footage from the pay-per-view with glum faces when Matt's phone lit up.

He picked it up, checked the display and the caller ID said "Jack Perry". After a few seconds of hesitation, Jackson ignored the call and put his phone back on the table. He went right back to wallowing with his brother after they'd both taken some lumps courtesy of Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay in London.

Perry hasn't worked a mainline AEW match since dropping the TNT Title to Danial Garcia back at Full Gear 2024. For the record, that happened on 23 November last year, and he's only wrestled 2 bouts since then - Jack teamed with Konosuka Takeshita to defeat Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji at New Japan's Strong Style Evolved on 15 December, then wrestled in a losing effort to Tsuji at the co-AEW/NJPW/CMLL Wrestle Dynasty event on 5 January 2025.

It seems only a matter of time before he bounces back onto episodes of Dynamite and Collision though. The fact that Matt ghosted his call suggests not all is rosy between Perry and The Bucks, so that'll be something to keep an eye on once he does pop back up on the AEW roster properly.
