Mia Yim Gives Update On Wrestling Future
Yim's husband Keith Lee just debuted in AEW, so what's in store for her?
Just days after her husband Keith Lee made a much-anticipated, much-acclaimed debut on AEW Dynamite, Mia Yim weighed in this weekend on her wrestling future.
Released from WWE in early November (the same day as Lee), Yim is also now a free agent. However, Yim tweeted Sunday:
To those wondering why I’m not back in the ring yet.. February is a busy month. With the wedding and the move, I decided to not take any bookings until March to focus on getting everything handled at home first. So don’t worry, I’ll see you all in the ring in March ? #HBIC pic.twitter.com/7s0dg7EQRA

Yim competed in both WWE Mae Young Classic tournaments in 2017 and 2018 before signing a contract and joining NXT in 2018. She joined the main roster in late 2020 as part of the ill-fated faction RETRIBUTION and was renamed Reckoning. Infamously, her mask fell off during her first match against Dana Brooke, which she inexplicably lost. The group dissolved in early 2021 and Yim was sent to SmackDown, but she never appeared on the blue brand. She was traded back to Raw but again never appeared on TV.
On Wednesday, her husband Lee debuted in AEW, raising the question of when we could see Yim surface again. At least now, we know from the HBIC herself that she was just taking time on her personal life before getting back to business next month. It'll be interesting to see if she follows Lee into AEW or seeks out other opportunities.
