Michael Elgin Reportedly Set To Sign With WWE

Former ROH champion left New Japan last week.

Rumours are piling up that former Ring Of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin is Stamford-bound, with preliminary talks between the wrestler and WWE having reportedly taken place.

Elgin exited New Japan Pro Wrestling on 31 March upon the expiration of his contract. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer wrote this week that a renewal was on the table, but Elgin chose to seek pastures new.

The door is said to be open should be wish to return to Japan.

The Canadian has been explicit in his desire to wrestle outside Japan in the past, with a tilt at the industry's top company amongst his stated ambitions.
