Missing Star's AEW Return Discussed After Almost THREE YEARS Out (AEW News)

"Tentative plans" made for wrestler's comeback after sitting on the bench since 2023.

Fightful Select has posted an update on Keith Lee's status ahead of a possible return to AEW screens soon. According to the write-up, management behind the scenes at the promotion has been discussing his comeback for at least the last few months. However, nothing has come "to fruition" and he hasn't popped back up on Dynamite or Collision just yet.

Clearly. It'd be big news if Keith did launch a return, because there's been an outpouring of support from fans and industry critics alike due to his ongoing health concerns. They've been so severe that Lee hasn't actually worked a match for All Elite since beating Brian Cage on the 23 December 2023 'Holiday Bash' episode of Collision.

Fightful did note that "tentative plans" have been made for Keith's comeback. They also noted that several wrestlers got in touch with them to ask what might be going on with Lee, so it's fairly obvious how popular he is behind the curtain - there's a sentimental vibe to the dude at this point.

He's kinda considered to be 'one that got away' in terms of a top line push in major groups like WWE and AEW.

Fightful Select also reports that Keith hasn't really been around backstage for various TV tapings lately. He also hasn't been cleared by All Elite doctors. Sometimes, that process can take a couple of weeks to sort out, so there would've been word of Lee hanging around behind the curtain by now had he been there.

Fingers crossed he's inching closer and closer to that elusive rebirth as a worker.
