WWE's latest set of NXT television tapings saw Ridge Holland return to the black and gold brand for the first time since October 2020.

The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's spoilers state that Holland aligned with Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan for NXT's 27 July episode, helping the duo beat Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher down after a match between the two teams - which the heels won.

On the show taped for 3 August, Holland defeated Ikemen Jiro one on one. Dunne and Lorcan accompanied him to the ring.

Holland has been off television for nine months, having blown both of his legs out while brawling with Lorcan and Danny Burch on the 11 October episode of NXT. Stretchered out of the building, he suffered an ankle dislocation, leg fracture, patellar tendon rupture, amongst other issues.

The former professional rugby player had been pegged for a big push prior to his injuries. It was reported in August that WWE officials saw the Englishman as "the next big thing" in NXT.

NXT's 27 July and 3 August will air on SYFY, not USA Network, due to clashes with Olympic games coverage, hence yesterday's tapings.
