Big Boom AJ's next bit of AEW business could be with MJF!

The patriarch of the Costco Guys family made a surprise appearance at Boca Raton Championship Wrestling show on December 15th to reheat his old rivalry with QT Marshall before going face to face with Marshall's opponent - the 'Salt Of The Earth' himself. After drilling Marshall with a strike, he squared up with the former AEW Champion and the two exchanged words before MJF put his AEW colleague away with a brainbuster.

While neither man made their intentions clear in the moment, this unexpected encounter could serve as an early teaser for an eventual AEW clash. Big Boom AJ was a not-that-surprising surprise hit in his feud with Marshall, with their Full Gear 2024 pre-show bout ending up as one of the highlights of the night. His renewed reputation as a wrestler and MJF’s tendency to push boundaries in his rivalries could create a dream match scenario that could benefit from overlapping PR thanks to AJ's continued online success.

MJF will face Adam Cole at AEW World's End on December 28th, in what should be a conclusion to their long-standing feud. Meanwhile, AJ and son Big Justice were doing promotion for All In: Dallas in July 2025, all but confirming they will factor in to what will be the company's biggest event next year. It could be this stage the pair were setting with this face-off, or potentially something sooner.

More on this as and when it inevitably breaks the internet.
