MJF Tells AEW Fans He Might Need Surgery

Here's why MJF hasn't been on AEW television lately.

One of professional wrestling's fastest-rising stars he may be, but MJF has been absent from AEW television over the past few weeks, with his last appearance coming on the pretaped 7 April episode of Dark - when he accompanied Wardlow to a squash match victory.

Last Monday saw 'The Salt of the Earth' claim the reason he hadn't been on Dynamite lately was that "something awful" had happened to him. Now, MJF says he might not surgery to correct the ambiguous issue:-

It must be pointed out that MJF rarely, if ever, slips out of his obnoxious heel character on social media, which means one of two things here:-

1. He's working.

2. He's really serious about this.

Fingers crossed it's the former. While the current empty-arena era of wrestling wouldn't necessarily be the worst time for any wrestler to take a leave of absence, the issue MJF sounds very worrying indeed, particularly for a wrestler with his upside.

MJF scored a notable singles victory over Cody at Revolution on 29 February. The triumph looked set to send him skyward, though the global health crisis has made things difficult. He last wrestled on 11 March, teaming with The Butcher and The Blade to defeat all three Jurassic Express members.
