Mustafa Ali Revealed As RETRIBUTION Leader On WWE Raw
Turns it out was the SmackDown hacker all along...
Mustafa Ali was seemingly revealed as the leader of WWE's much-maligned RETRIBUTION group on last night's episode of Raw.
The revelation came about after Ali had met with The Hurt Business earlier in the evening, saying he wanted MVP to bring Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley out for their singles match later on. MVP did so, with the three Hurt Business men hitting the ring for the bout, backing Mustafa into a corner.
That was when the RETRIBUTION shenanigans started, with the lights flickering and the black-clad stable appearing. RETRIBUTION attacked at Ali's behest, beating The Hurt business down, and the former 205 Live man posed with his new team to bring the angle to a close.
With Ali controlling traffic in the beatdown and Byron Saxton noting that he was running the show, it's safe to assume that Mustafa is now RETRIBUTION's leader.
Ali was previously thought to be behind the SmackDown hacker segments before WWE canned it earlier this year. That storyline was vaguely similar to RETRIBUTION in its aesthetic, with the hacker disrupting shows on a near-weekly basis albeit without the beatdowns. This was seemingly scrapped when Ali was moved to Raw in July.
