MVP, Santina Marella & More Return At WWE Royal Rumble 2020

A night full of surprises in Houston.

Edge's heartstopping Royal Rumble comeback was obviously the top surprise at last night's awesome pay-per-view, though the titular matches also played host to a number of other returns throughout their runtimes.

MVP made his first WWE appearance since November 2010 when he entered the men's Rumble at number 12. It was a shortlived run, though, with the dominant Brock Lesnar chucking him out in just 24 seconds.

The women's bout played host to all kinds of surprises. Molly Holly mounted the night's first big return, entering at number three and getting a number of moves in before Bianca Belair put her over the top rope after roughly 10 minutes. Kelly Kelly also appeared in place of the injured Sasha Banks, Naomi wrestled for the first time since last May, and Santina Marella came in at number 29, only to eliminate himself with a self-inflicted Cobra to presumably write the character off forever.

This came following a showdown with former flame Beth Phoenix, who looked great in the bout, despite having the back of her head busted open.

A decent night of surprises, then, highlighted by 'The Rated-R Superstar,' though the likes of MVP were welcome as well.
