Netflix Unhappy With WWE? Major Relationship Update (WWE News)
The latest on WWE's relationship with Netflix.
With regular rumblings that Netflix may or may not be having a smidge of buyer's remorse about their WWE deal, there's now an update on the current lay of the land between the two parties.
Of course, the Netflix and WWE deal kicked in from January 2025, with Raw housed on the streaming juggernaut worldwide, and Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and PLEs on Netflix in various international markets.
Despite certain rumours that Netflix isn't happy with how things have gone so far, that seemingly is not the case.
Speaking on the latest WrestleVotes Live! on Fightful Select, TC of WrestleVotes said that he'd "push back" on the idea that Netflix isn't happy with this partnership, and that while Netflix has spent a lot of money on this deal, they also have a lot of money at their disposal. It was also noted that WWE has done a good job of incorporating various Netflix names and projects into WWE programming, such as when we got a Stranger Things-themed edition of Raw. JoeyVotes added that he likewise hadn't heard anything about Netflix being unhappy with WWE, stating that there is "no truth" to any such claims.
This comes on the heels of reports last month that the WWE writing team was feeling pressure from Netflix, and also at a time when those Netflix broadcasts now often end up censored when replayed, such as Bron Breakker's bloody face completely blurred out at this year's Night of Champions, Brock Lesnar's "Talk S**t, Get Hit" t-shirt facing the same fate, and even a simple line from Becky Lynch about Liv Morgan sleeping with Dominik Morgan being completely removed from a recent Raw episode.
