Neville Reportedly Quits WWE
Is the former king of the cruiserweights looking for a new throne to sit upon?
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville has reportedly asked for his release from WWE.
F4Wonline.com confirms that Neville walked out of Raw on Monday evening and that his future appears to be uncertain. WWE has since denied that the talented high-flyer from Newcastle, England has quit the company.
Allegedly, Neville was initially penciled in to lose to Enzo Amore in the lumberjack main event on Raw, forcing WWE creative to scramble and change their plans once the former Pac walked out on the the show just before airtime.
Kalisto was placed in the match instead and came out on top, defeating Amore for the Cruiserweight Championship. Original plans for TLC 2017 PPV had Neville defending the title against Enzo Amore but those plans will now likely change.
While not all wrestlers who ask for their release have their request granted, if Neville is unhappy and wants to move on, it's hard to envision the powers that be within WWE forcing him to stick around rather than allowing him to earn a living elsewhere.
We'll have more on this story as it develops.
