New "Boneyard" Stipulation Added To The Undertaker Vs. AJ Styles

The long-awaited 'Mania match just got a fresh stip.

AJ Styles and The Undertaker's WrestleMania 36 scrap is new a Boneyard Match.

Yes, really. A Boneyard Match.

Styles announced the stipulation on last night's episode of Raw, claiming that he wanted to turn the 'Mania bout into what he called "your ('Taker's') match," and that he had already picked a plot for the burial. This came after a diatribe that saw Styles say that while he wanted to claim his opponent's soul, Michelle McCool had already beaten him to that, having already ripped into the couple's recent "save the tigers" social media video.

So what is a Boneyard Match, exactly? There's no word at the moment, though AJ's verbiage suggests it could be some kind of Buried Alive stipulation. Perhaps we'll find out more over the coming days.

WWE is set to tape WrestleMania 36 in its entirety across Wednesday and Thursday. The bulk of the content will be filmed in the Performance Center, though we're expecting bits and pieces from elsewhere as well. Given the stipulation, Styles vs. 'Taker might be something that the promotion looks to take off-site, though this is purely speculative and will stay that way until confirmation arrives.
