Hook finally made his long-awaited in-ring debut for AEW on last week's episode of Rampage, flattening Fuego Del Sol in his first match after over a year as a largely silent onscreen character.

Fightful Select have now come through with a report on the circumstances leading to Taz's son's entry into pro wrestling, stating that while it didn't always look like 'The Handsome Devil' would get into the business, he always respected the sport and had good knowledge of it.

It was reportedly clear from Hook's first training session that wrestling was going to click with him. From there, he has been doing "non-stop" training with AEW's QT Marshall and at Create-A-Pro Wrestling. MJF, one of AEW's biggest stars, also helped him out early on.

Several AEW roster members had put Hook over to the outlet prior to his debut. Afterwards, they were delighted with how things went.

Hook's debut was the talk of the internet last Friday night/Saturday morning, with the 22-year-old showing great poise and presence in a bout that lasted a shade over three minutes. Fuego, who mounted only a few fleeting moments of offense, was put down via katahajime.
