Just when you thought Velveteen Dream's 2020 could be any more troublesome, Fightful Select has come through with a new report stating that there is fresh backstage heat on the 24-year-old in WWE.

Per the story, Dream has had heat not only for alleged behavioural issues, but for what other wrestlers perceive to be preferential treatment on several different occasions, having apparently gotten away with things that would have seen other performers fired.

This report broke not long before Triple H issued comments on Dream's recent NXT absence and return. Velveteen had been missing since falling to Adam Cole at TakeOver: In Your House in June, returning to action on last week's black-and-gold show.

Speaking with CBS Sports, Triple H claimed that he had "looked into what was there and didn't find anything" with regards to the accusations thrown at Dream, adding that a car crash suffered in late June was why he'd been off television. April saw Velveteen hit with worrying allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor, with more emerging as the #SpeakingOut movement took flight in June.

One of Dream's accusers has claimed he was never contacted as part of WWE's "investigation."
