Following last night's bombshell news that Sasha Banks may have been released by WWE, there now comes an update of sorts on this matter.

While WWE has yet to announce the Boss' departure from the company, Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. yesterday reported that Banks had made her WWE exit. Giri stated how he did not know whether it was Sasha or WWE who instigated this release.

Since then, Fightful has been unable to get any definitive answer on this topic from their sources, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has likewise not been able to get confirmation that Banks is no longer with WWE.

Providing a new nugget of information on all of this, Mat Men's Andrew Zarian says he heard late last week that Sasha's attorneys were working on getting the hugely talented star her WWE release. However, Zarian did emphasise how he has not heard one way or another whether or not Banks has indeed now left the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Of course, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE prior to the 16 May episode of Raw. Unhappy with the creative plans on the table, the then-Women's Tag Team Champions handed over their belts to John Laurinaitis and left the building. Since then, the pair have been suspended and had all merchandise removed from WWEShop.com, in addition to obviously being stripped of the aforementioned titles.

Expect plenty more on this developing situation as we get it.
