With Tony Khan recently revealing that Andrade El Idolo is the latest AEW star to be out of action due to injury, the former La Sombra has himself taken to Twitter to provide clarification on the issue that's currently got him on the sidelines.

Playing down the severity of this injury, Andrade detailed how he's suffering from inflammation in his ankle.

The last time fans saw Andrade in an AEW ring, he put on a barn-burner of a bout against Rey Fenix on the 24 June episode of Rampage.

Coming out of said Rampage showing - in which El Idolo was victorious - AEW nicely set Andrade and long-time partner Rush up for a rivalry with Fenix and Penta Oscura. While that rivalry is indeed still in place, Andrade's ankle issue has obviously caused things to be put on hold for now.

Andrade El Idolo is of course one of several AEW stars out due to injury right now, with him joining the likes of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, Jungle Boy, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, Penelope Ford, Leyla Hirsch, Lee Johnson and Santana as being out of action at present. On top of that, Jeff Hardy is in the midst of a suspension after his latest DUI arrest.
