The Viking Raiders "starred" in an ill-received segment on last night's episode of WWE Raw, indulging in a spot of Carpool Karaoke midway through the show.

Erik and Ivar were riding through Florida with the latter behind the wheel. Ivar was chomping down on a comedy turkey leg and both were clad in their t-shirts and signature headgear, with the former Raw and NXT Tag Team Champions breaking into a big daft song.

Speculation is now abound regarding what WWE is trying to do with The Viking Raiders here, with Wrestling Headlines suggesting the duo could be set for the comedy rebranding that the promotion reportedly had planned for The Revival before they were released. It's thought that the duo will challenge for The Street Profit's Tag Team Championships at Money In The Bank on 10 May.

It's a shame to see the Raiders going this way. They were presented as a truly dominant force in NXT and had ascended to doyen status at TakeOver: New York last year, but were almost immediately undone when they were "promoted" to Raw and rebranded "The Viking Experience." If last night's segment is anything to go by, a comedic rebranding will sink them completely.
