Rumours of a potential Ring Of Honor sale just won't go away despite the promotion's impending return on 1 April.

Fightful Select state that advances regarding a potential sale or partnership may have been made, though these stretch back a couple of years, with interested parties enquiring on the cost of such a deal. Said price point was believed to be "significant" in 2020, with the promotion attracting "way more bidders than expected." Wrestling promotions and media companies are thought to have been included in this group.

As far as specific numbers go, one source in another company stated that $40 million had been discussed as a buyout price in 2020, though another person with ROH ties claimed it was nearer half of that. Additionally, another ROH source stated that $30 million for 50% of the company had previously been quoted to another potential buyer.

It should be stressed that none of these rumours have been confirmed by ROH itself.

ROH is currently gearing up to return from a near-four-month hiatus with Supercard Of Honor on 1 April. This will be the promotion's first show since mid-December, when its operations were completely overhauled, including the termination of most talent contracts.
