Nia Jax Vs. Alicia Fox Announced For WWE Clash Of Champions Kickoff

Following weeks of tension between the two women, a match between Alicia Fox and Nia Jax has been announced for the Clash of Champions kickoff show.

Jax was drafted from NXT to Raw during July's brand extension, and since then, she's been undefeated, though she's mostly taken on local competitors. On the September 5 episode of Raw, Jax easily defeated Kansas City-based wrestler Ann Esposito, who was identified by the announcers as a friend of Fox's. That led to a confrontation between the two WWE superstars in the locker room later in the show, where Fox threw a tissue box at Jax and Jax backed the former Divas' Champion against a wall.

Subsequently, Jax and Fox had a match against each other on last week's Raw. Though Fox tried to attack the former NXT star, Jax was dominant. She took Fox outside the ring, grabbed her by the hair, and slammed her into the ringside barricade. After that, she speared Fox through the barricade, bringing an immediate end to the bout, which was declared a no contest.

The Clash of Champions kickoff show airs live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 7:00 PM ET.
