Nick Aldis Teases HUGE First WWE Match

New SmackDown GM Nick Aldis is expected to wrestle for WWE at some point, but...will it be against his old NWA World Title foe Cody Rhodes?!

Aldis is refusing to rule that rematch out. He told Busted Open Radio that chemistry between both men is "undeniable", which suggests he reckons WWE management should have a right good think about booking a sequel to their clash at All In back in September 2018.

That show ultimately led to the birth of AEW, but it proved to be the only bout Nick worked in conjunction with the eventual All Elite crew. Aldis then returned to focusing on NWA before eventually leaving that promotion and going radio silent before popping up on WWE TV as SmackDown's newest authority figure.

Interestingly, Nick closed his comments on a potential Cody match by saying: "He knows where I am, and I know where he is". Then, he added: "Never say never".

It'll be fun to see what WWE does with Aldis long-term. The GM gig appears to be something Triple H is keen on, but it makes sense to believe that Nick will work matches too. Rhodes could be his first opponent.
