Nikki Bella Vs. Carmella No-DQ Match Signed For WWE TLC 2017
At least it's not a stairs match...
One of the longest-running feuds on Smackdown stands to end at No Mercy, when former Divas' Champion Nikki Bella takes on Carmella in a no disqualification match. Bella revealed in a backstage segment on Smackdown that she was granted the match by her brother-in-law, Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan.
The bad blood between Bella and Carmella began at SummerSlam, when Bella made her triumphant return from neck surgery after 10 months on the shelf. Filling in for the suspended Eva Marie, Bella was competing for the heel team, but her return and subsequent pinfall victory over Carmella were so well received that she was immediately made a babyface. Later on Smackdown, Carmella turned heel with a vicious attack on Bella.
Since then, the two women have been at war, with Carmella eliminating Bella from the Smackdown Women's Title match at Backlash, and Bella winning a singles match at No Mercy. Bella was scheduled to captain the Smackdown women's team at Survivor Series, but she was forced to miss the match when she was attacked by an unknown assailant prior to the beginning of the bout. Carmella has denied any involvement in the attack.
TLC airs live on the WWE Network on December 4 at 8:00 PM ET.
