New Japan Pro-Wrestling have unveiled the list of participants set for this summer's G1 Climax, and to say the cohort is more stacked than a pancake house special would be an understatement.

A literal score of names was announced earlier this morning, each of them a current member of the promotion's roster. The obvious pick of the bunch are the pair of Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada, who contested an unprecedented Dave Meltzer-rated seven star classic at last weekend's Dominion. Other star names include Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi, whilst Jay White and Hangman Page will be making their G1 Climax debuts.

The 28th edition of New Japan's annual summer tourney kicks off from Tokyo Ota General Gymnasium on Saturday 14 July, running all the way up to 12 August. Specific blocks for the tournament are expected to be revealed later this evening.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
