New Japan Pro Wrestling's SANADA, the most photogenic man in the entire sport, has conducted an interview with the promotion's English-language website ahead of his IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship match with Kota Ibushi.

'Cold Skull' touched on all kinds of topics relating to his career and the match itself, including his biggest weaknesses between the ropes:-

“Oh, I have plenty of weaknesses. Of course. I’m just good at hiding them. There are plenty of things that I’m no good at, and I just don’t do them. That’s the trick. So maybe it looks like I have no holes in my game. I haven’t really spoken with Ibushi, so I don’t think he knows much about who I really am. Oh yeah. Have you heard me on the mic?”

Lacklustre promo ability? That makes sense, given that extreme stoicism is the most important component of his character - something he acknowledges as a "strong, silent type" in the interview.

SANADA went on, saying he wants Ibushi to bring out a wilder, more unpredictable side of his character when they wrestle at The New Beginning in Hiroshima tomorrow, 11 February.

The challenger enters the dual title match as a heavy underdog. Nonetheless, it's refreshing to hear a wrestler speaking so candidly about their own shortcomings, even in a company-sponsored interview.
