NJPW Wrestler's Conctact Quietly Expires

Another NJPW name's deal has elapsed while they are still active in the company.

Add Dan 'Drilla' Moloney to the list of NJPW wrestlers currently working for the company on an expired or soon-to-expire contract.

Fightful Select reports that the Bullet Club-affiliated wrestler is amongst a growing group of grapplers whose New Japan deals expired in January. Previously, the outlet had reported that fellow BC War Dogs Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, and Clark Connors had either seen their contracts expire, or soon would.

There is currently no word on whether or not Moloney has been involved in extension talks with NJPW. This puts him in a near-identical spot to his stablemates.

Moloney, 26, became a New Japan regular in April 2023, entering the company's 30th annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Initially affiliated with Will Ospreay's United Empire, he betrayed the group to join Bullet Club in June, forging the War Dogs sub-faction with Coughlin, Kidd, Connors, and leader David Finlay.

July 2023 saw Moloney and Connors defeat Catch 22 (TJP and Francesco Akira) to become IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. They held the belts for 184, eventually losing them back to Catch 22 on 4 January 2024's Wrestle Kingdom 18 event.
