Notable WWE NXT Name Released

This NXT regular is no longer with WWE.

Damon Kemp
WWE

In some somewhat surprising news, Damon Kemp is no longer with WWE.

Having most recently wrestled in a losing effort to Tavion Heights on the 25 June edition of NXT, Kemp took to X to announce his time with WWE has come to an end.

Fightful Select adds that this release isn't part of some wider round of cuts, but instead the talent was told that his WWE contract would not be renewed. As seemed to be indicated in his X post, the real-life Bobby Steveson looks to be taking bookings from 12 August.

A part of both Diamond Mine and the No Quarter Catch Crew, the 25-year-old had been with WWE since 2021. The brother of Gable Steveson - another talent released earlier this year - the elder Steveson brother was said to have impressed officials and coaches within WWE and the Performance Center. However, ultimately the decision was made for the two parties to go their separate ways and for the Minnesota native's contract to not be renewed.
