Note On WWE's NXT Plans For Solo Sikoa Before Main Roster Call

Here's what WWE had planned for Solo Sikoa on NXT before The Bloodline.

Solo Sikoa was supposed to feud with both Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker before being called up to WWE's main roster as a new member of The Bloodline.

The former NXT North American Champion told 'Superstar Crossover' that he was in line to challenge Breakker for the NXT Championship before being pulled aside and given the Raw/SmackDown news. He was obviously over the moon about that, but does wonder what a feud vs. Bron would've been like on the third brand.

Smash mouth, probably.

WWE booked Solo carefully on his way out of NXT. He didn't actually drop the North American belt in-ring - instead, Shawn Michaels demanded that Sikoa vacate the strap because he wasn't originally supposed to take part in the match that saw him win the title.

Wes Lee went on to bag the vacant championship at Halloween Havoc.

Since then, Sikoa has become a key part of business alongside top stars like Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, The Usos and Paul Heyman on Friday nights. He plays a quiet enforcer role in The Bloodline, but is destined for a push at some point.
