WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER and his Imperium faction mounted a takeover of NXT on last night's two-hour live debut.

The invasion came after newcomer Denzel Dejournette had made his way to the ring for a scheduled bout against KUSHIDA, with Fabian Aichner, Alexander Wolfe, and Marcel Barthel arriving to batter the poor soul. Big "WALTER" chants filled the building as they laid Dejournette to rest. Eventually, the absolute Austrian unit hit the ring to a raucous response, cutting a quick promo claiming they'd arrived in NXT to restore honour and force anyone who disrespected their "sacred mat" to answer to him.

This drew KUSHIDA from the back. The Japanese star claimed this was his time and that Imperium now belongs to him, sparking a brawl to seemingly set up a KUSHIDA vs. WALTER NXT UK Championship match.

Imperium also featured later in the evening, joining the all-encompassing backstage brawl that Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain erupted into. That mass fight eventually spilled the ringside as NXT went off the air.

A successful, impactful debut for the NXT UK faction, who could now be set for a Wargames spot.
