NXT star Roxanne Perez turned some heads backstage with her performance on this week's episode of SmackDown.

There, Perez teamed with Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi in a losing effort to Damage CTRL members Bayley, Dakota Sky and IYO SKY. According to PWInsider Elite though, top officials like Triple H were "really happy" with Roxanne's work.

They're so impressed, in fact, that this 'one and done' appearance to promote NXT's Halloween Havoc might turn into something bigger for Perez - she was especially impressive against Bayley, and it says a lot for Perez that she didn't look out of her depth against one of WWE's top female names.

The future looks bright for her then.

WWE's temp Perez/Rodriguez/Shotzi trio will move onto separate issues shortly. The latter duo will challenge Damage CTRL for the Women's Tag-Team straps on next week's SmackDown, and Roxanne has a bout lined up vs. Cora Jade come Halloween Havoc.

After that, who knows? Perez may well get the call to come up to WWE's main roster permanently. That's how impressed Triple H and other members of WWE top brass were by her work.
