NXT Star Redebuts On WWE Raw
Is WWE's NXT 2.0 firmly in the rear view mirror for this former champion?
Tommaso Ciampa showed up on Monday's episode of Raw and did some guest commentary during The Street Profits vs. Dirty Dawgs.
This is all part of an ongoing feud Ciampa has been working with Dolph Ziggler. The pair brawled on last week's edition of NXT 2.0. There's no word yet on whether WWE will continue booking Ziggler on NXT or bring the rivalry to Raw full time.
The latter makes most sense, and not least because Tommaso is clearly ready to move on from WWE's third brand. He's been ready for years - Ciampa previously worked some shots on Raw and SmackDown in 2019. Back then, he was teaming with old pal-turned-rival-turned-pal Johnny Gargano.
Tommaso chucked some water into Dolph's face at ringside. That led to Robert Roode eating a pin from the Profits, then Ziggler smashed Ciampa with a superkick. This will be reciprocated at some point in the future. Again, it's unclear whether that revenge will happen on NXT or on the flagship show.
It'd be nice to see Ciampa get some main roster focus. Ziggler is also the ideal candidate to bump around for him.
