What has been described as a "scary moment" unfolded during yesterday's NXT television tapings at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

This is according to POST Wrestling's John Pollock, who writes that former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano took a rough bump while wrestling newcomer Ridge Holland, landing on his head. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and other personnel then entered the ring as the match was stopped, tending to Gargano, with the bout restarting and running all the way to the finish soon after.

Gargano is reportedly okay, with one of Pollock's sources claiming he actually apologised to everybody in attendance for holding up the tapings. He was checked by medics after taking the bump and after the match itself.

Gargano and Holland were wrestling for the right to compete in TakeOver XXX's North American Title Ladder Match. The winner joins Bronson Reed, Damian Priest, Cameron Grimes, and one other wrestler TBA in the bout, having scored this second chance by virtue of not being pinned or submitted in the Triple Threats that brought Reed and Priest to the dance.

'Johnny Wrestling' was North American Champion for four days in 2019, winning the strap from Ricochet on 26 January before dropping it to Velveteen Dream on the 30th.
