NXT Tag Titles To Be Defended At WWE Roadblock

Dash and Dawson to defend against another top NXT tag team.

Another high profile championship bout has been added to the WWE Network live special Roadblock, airing on March 12th from Toronto, Ontario. It was announced this week on WWE NXT that NXT Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder will defend their belts against Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore. The only other bout that has been announced so far for the show is WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H defending against Dean Ambrose. This will be Triple H's first title defense and first match since winning the strap at January's Royal Rumble. WWE Roadblock won't be the first time that an NXT championship has been defended at a main roster WWE Network live special. Last July, Finn Balor won the NXT Championship from Kevin Owens at Beast In The East, an event that aired live from Japan. Balor has held the title ever since. Dash and Dawson have held the NXT Tag Team Championships since November when they defeated The Vaudevillains on a weekly episode of WWE NXT. Originally named The Mechanics, the duo has now been wrestling under the name The Revival. Their opponents, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, have never held the NXT Tag Team Championships despite being one of the most popular duos in the territory for years now.
