NXT TakeOver Philadelphia: 6 HUGE Predictions You Need To Know

6. Dream's Ascension Continues

Kassius Ohno The Velveteen Dream

Johnny Gargano and The Velveteen Dream brought the house down on this week's NXT, delivering the kind of knockdown main event we've come to expect from the former, who'll challenge Andrade 'Cien' Almas this week. Fast, thrilling, and full of drama, it was excellent, but far from a carry-job, despite Gargano's outstanding performance.

Dream is coming into his own as a performer. The gimmick was always top notch, but his ring work has caught up in recent months, as proven by the Gargano bout and his star-making performance versus Aleister Black at TakeOver: WarGames. Now, he has been booked against a guy who specialises in making his opponents look good, and there's no reason to believe Dream vs. Kassius Ohno won't be an absolute banger.

Given their respective prospects, the outcome seems a foregone conclusion. Ohno is one of the best in the world, but he's now deeply entrenched in an enhancement role, and the promotion have no interest in pushing him. Dream, meanwhile, is one of the hottest prospects in the company. Just like Lars Sullivan at WarGames, the former Chris Hero will likely put him over in decisive fashion.

Winner: The Velveteen Dream.
