Sunday night's Survivor Series is, in the immortal words of Triple H to Randy Orton prior to going on at WrestleMania 25, "f*cked". The NXT honcho knew he had no chance of besting Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker's spectacular outing that evening, and after he guided his brand to another superlative showing this Saturday, the main roster likewise has a tall task in topping it.

Festivities in Los Angeles began with an impromptu Matt Riddle promo, with the laid-back, laconic bro' calling Kassius Ohno out. He reasoned that since the pair were both in the city, they might as well bring forward their match scheduled for later this week. Ohno, forgetting Riddle's newcomer's advantage, rose to the bait like a chump. He was laid out in less than a second.

The event officially got underway with a fine two-out-of-three falls contest between NXT Women's champ Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane. A strong start from Sane was cut short when Baszler's Horsewomen mates Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir intervened, giving the title holder a route to the first fall. Sane responded with an Insane Elbow to level things at one a piece, but the involvement of Io Shirai and Dakota Kai couldn't prevent her succumbing to a Baszler roll-up for the victory.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
