Two WWE NXT wrestlers could be on their way to SmackDown as part of a storyline with Baron Corbin.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select claiming that Danny Burch and Killian Dain were set to work with SmackDown's 'King' at yesterday's tapings at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. There is currently no word on whether or not this went down as planned, though it was definitely on the runsheet.

Tuesday saw WWE film one episode of SmackDown and 205 Live each. WWE's current creative chaos means there's no guarantee of anything happening until it is actually committed to tape, so it'll be interesting to see if Burch and Dain show up on SmackDown.

Corbin could be building a heel posse, having become aligned with a turning Chad Gable on last week's show. He has previously associated with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.

Burch has been in the WWE system since 2011, though he was let go in 2014 and eventually re-signed a year later. Dain, meanwhile, has already tasted what would traditionally be classified as the main roster, playing a minimal SmackDown role with Sanity from 2018 to 2019.
