In a dream match that can't possibly happen at the moment, given that one of these men is no longer employed by WWE, Karrion Kross and Braun Strowman have both said they want to wrestle each other.

The conversation began when a Twitter user pitched the duo face each other following Kross' successful NXT Title defence at TakeOver: In Your House last night. Both wrestlers were tagged, with Braun the first to respond:-

Kross chimed in to say it is "inevitable" that he and Strowman will "try to annihilate each other" someday:-

Braun is currently a free agent after being shockingly released from his WWE contract on 2 June. He and his fellow cuts (Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Lana, Ruby Riott, and Santana Garrett) are bound to 90-day non-compete clauses preventing them from signing or appearing elsewhere before 31 August.

Although Strowman's wrestling future is currently a mystery, AEW's Mark Henry has expressed a desire to see Braun in Jacksonville.

Kross, meanwhile, is currently 67 days into his second reign as NXT Champion, having taken the strap back from Finn Balor at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 37 week. He successfully triumphed over Kyle O'Reilly, Pete Dunne, Adam Cole, and Johnny Gargano at In Your House.
