NXT's Shotzi Blackheart has suffered an undisclosed injury.

The former Women's Tag Team Champion confirmed this herself on Twitter earlier today, responding to a fan who'd asked her if she was hurt:-

Blackheart last wrestled for WWE on the 25 May episode of NXT. She and Ember Moon faced Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez in a contendership match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles they dropped to Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae three weeks prior, winning in just under eight minutes. With Shotzi's injury, it remains to be seen when she and Ember will get their shot.

The 25 May bout was a particularly impactful one for Blackheart, who took several big bumps in a post-match beatdown, including a couple of Gonzalez powerbombs into the ring barriers.

Obviously, from her short reply, there's currently no word on how long Blackheart will be sidelined for, the severity of her injury, or when it occurred.

Moon will challenge Blackheart for the NXT Women's Championship in her tag partner's absence, doing so at TakeOver: In Your House this weekend. Ember last held the Women's Title between November 2017 and April 2018.
